Work from tenth grade Figure Drawing Class
In Ms. Moseley’s figure drawing class we did a project entitled, ‘Skinless Self Portrait’. First, we obtained a photo of ourselves which showed our faces and went to our shoulder level. After doing so, we did a full value sketch of the photo in our sketch books. Upon being checked we received an 18x24 piece of white paper and a photo of what muscles are under the skin on our faces. On this paper we had to draw ourselves again, only this time we had to draw it as though we no longer had skin and our muscles were showing. To do this I used several different kinds of pencil. The project was due November 10 and we were given around two weeks to complete it. I feel my strengths include the details I included in my piece while my weakness would be lack of proportions.
