In Ms. Leeming's tenth grade geometry class we did a project in which we connected what we are learning to the outside world through architecture. We began by choosing an architect that made a well known building. I chose Charles Garnier, who is known for the Paris Opera House. Upon choosing the architect we had to research them and the building they designed, which I enjoyed. Then, using Microsoft Office 2007 we typed out a five paragraph, MLA style paper with our research. My strength would be my research while my weakness would be my lack of architectural knowledge.

As a final grade I received a 96 which I believe to be fair. Points were docked for specific reasons such as having not restated my thesis in a creative way. If I were to do the project again, I'd like to make the paper more interesting for the reader. Yes, it is a research paper for a geometry, but I feel as though I could have done more. Also, I could have asked the teacher to pre-read my paper as well. In the future I would prefer to write more imaginative pieces, but being as this was for a math class I did a good enough job to please myself. Yet there is always room for improvement.
