OK, so I've gotten through most of your first two journals.  I have some general comments that apply to many of you, so take note!  A lot of good work has been done so far, but there are many things to be improved upon.

  1. The length of your entries has generally been sufficient.  You are completely addressing the topics and that is awesome!  Keep it up!
  2. Very few of you have put the titles at the top of your entries.  Be sure to go back and add titles to the first two entries!  Titles are: "I am..." and "Initial Thoughts."  Be sure to bold and center at the top of the entry.  The next thing should be the date and time the entry started and then the entry and, finally, the date and time the entry was concluded.
  3. Comments have not been posted in a timely manner.  This is due to one of two factors: either the commentator has not done their work or the owner of the page has not approved the comments.  As it stands, only 4 seniors have successfully posted the required 4 comments.
  4. When you are leaving a comment, identify the entry on which you are commenting.  With some comments, this has been unclear.
  5. Be thorough and specific!  Some of you are leaving comments such as "Good job!" or "Nice Work!"  or "Ditto!"  These types of comments are unacceptable and will not receive a grade.
  6. I can appreciate creativity with fonts and colors and such, but please be consistent, at least within a particular entry.  Don't use multiple fonts in the same entry unless it serves a clear aesthetic purpose.
  7. Be prompt with your feedback and with approving the feedback of others.  All of your grades depend upon it!
  8. When I pass your entries back to you, please make corrections to your online entries immediately.  That way you may focus on new entries only.

You all should be proud of the work you are doing, but we need to get these early entries looking sharp, because there will not be a lot of time to come back and fix them later.

Remember, LOGLINES ARE DUE THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12TH!  Please look at samples before posting yours.
