The first draft of the script might be the single most difficult task of the entire Capstone process.  Sure, you have three paragraphs, but now you need ten pages!

Worry not.  Let's take this one step at a time.  First, you must install the software on your computer.

1. Go to www.celtx.com.
2. Download the Celtx software for your computer.
3. Install the software.
4. Open the sample script and print the first page as confirmation that you installed the software property.  Be sure to write your name at the top.  This part is due by Wednesday, November 21.

Now that the software is installed, you can start typing your masterpiece.  The Celtx software has a lot of features, but right now we are only concerned with the screenplay component.

Based on what we covered in class begin typing a project.  Be sure to save the project as Your Name!

Some people write better with a notebook and pen and some with a computer.  Do not make the mistake of typing in Word and trying to paste into Celtx.  Either type right in Celtx or write out by hand and then type in Celtx.

Please refer to the PowerPoint notes when working on your script.

When you are finished with your draft:

1. Save the file as Your Name.
2. Click on Script.
3. Click on Export Script...
4. Type your name.
5. Select HTML Files under Save as type.
6. Click Save.
7. Put the HTML document as the next page in your Capstone Digication page.  Do not cut and paste into your page!
8. Check the Capstone Script Rubric.
9. Publish it and print a copy to submit.
