Music has been something I've been fairly interested in from a pretty young age.  Lately I've been focussed on piano, and I greatly enjoy playing it.  I started off teaching myself how to play until my mother got me lessons at a local music store (where I am currently still receiving instruction).  Although I absolutely love to play, I will rarely play for an audience.  To me it's something I do more privately, and just for my own enjoyment.  There's something very calming about creating pretty sounds or learning how to play your favorite song. 

When I had more free time, I also used to play guitar and trumpet (both of which I've kind of let slide lately).  I can still play both, but I'm pretty rusty.  However, I do hope to pick up trumpet seriously once more...mainly because I've fallen in love with Ska and it would be amazing to play trumpet for a local ska band.
