Acting

     The first big show I was involved in at Beacon was Once On This Island, Beacon’s first musical production.  I did not know what to expect of it at first, but I am glad I was a part of it.  I was slightly reluctant to audition at first, however, I was persuaded to by my friends.  The process of callbacks went on for about two weeks and the suspence was killing me.  When the cast list went up and I saw I got the role of Daniel, I was so happy.

     After the casting was finished, we then began the insanity inducing process of rehersals.  This play was different in the fact that we had not one but two directors yelling at, and sometimes hitting, us until we got everything right.  We were worried because it took us, most of us, until two weeks before the show to get our lines down.  Dispite all this, the show was a great success, and an amazing expirience to be a part of.  This is one show I hope to never forget
